A lot of people get polyps inside the intestinal tract, inside the colon, around the rectum.
Polyps are scar tissue created by bacteria.
E. coli is a really big polyp maker.
That one right there, okay?
Other bacteria can create it too.
C. diff is a polyp maker.
Streptococcus is a polyp maker.
So there are these bacteria that we have inside our intestinal tract, inside our colon, that eventually burrow into the lining and scar tissues create it.
And that scar tissue becomes living is what it does.
It has blood vessels, tiny blood vessels coming off of it.
So these polyps are actually alive and they grow over time.
Eventually they can grow into something not so good, but hopefully for most people they just sit there and they just stay like they are.
Thank you.
